As long at it's not either of the ones used by BF.c. The colors and font(s) they used on both their light and dark schemes there gives me a headache.
Thanks for your efforts James. Any plans to integrate iTrader or some similar piece for buyers/sellers?

Personally I can't stand darker backgrounds. I think the color scheme on the current site is good. No reason we can't have more than one color scheme though.Leave a comment:

I know the colors are not set and still just a basic format. I would like to suggest in the future to have a black background with a white font, I am not sure how others feel on such a dramatic change, but it is so much nicer for viewing/reading.
I love how clean and professional the BETA looks, while the classic version we are on now does feel like 'home' I am open for change. I feel the new version is easier to view and find what you're looking for. I have been playing around on it and will weigh in with suggestions and more thoughts as I use it.
1+ on being slow as shit haha
I noticed that a thread could only be viewed on the BETa while it was not on the normal side, Matt posted it "Check Chedk" or something. I posted in it on the BETA side and searched for new posts on this side and it did not come up.Leave a comment:

Things that are standing out to me are the quoted posts being hard to distinguish from the regular post, and how everything generally blends together. It'd help me if posts/quotes/forum sections were more distinguishable from each other - bolder borders, background shading, etc. Thanks.Leave a comment:

Not sure if it's just something I'm missing, but clicking on "Today's Posts" brings me to a search results screen. Result of it being an old database? I know you mentioned color schemes too but the "R3vlimited Primary Style" is almost impossible to read. Although now I can't get the scheme to change, so whichever is the one with a blue-on-blue palette is the one I'm talking about.Leave a comment:

I don't remember currently, but the last time I played with it, it listed individual posts instead of whole threads, which is not super useful.
also, this is already an existing problem, but login in over HTTP, so it's trivial for anyone to sniff out your password when logging in over shared wifi.Leave a comment:

I removed the right hand nav bar to give it a little more of a classic look.
Keep the thoughts coming, I'll tinker with it more as we progressLeave a comment:

My real concern with the change is just how much it impacts ease of use in search.
The extra step required to search within a specific forum is mildly annoying, but the results display makes it much harder to skim results. It's better than the impenetrable disaster that S14.net has turned into, but it's a step backwards imho.Leave a comment:

I'm In for more smiley options. I like everything about it so far. Checked it out on my phone and I have no complaints.Leave a comment:

Yes! Most other forums I'm on have this, and it's a really useful feature.
I'll be honest though, I'm not really loving the new site. Maybe it's just because I've been using this basic layout for the last ten years that I've been on various forums, but I really like what we have already. Simple and easy to use. The new look is cleaner and more modern, but looking at the front page, I think the current version is better laid out. Forums and subforums on the left, new posts on the right. The new version is like that too... sort of. The main forums are on the left (ie, General, OT, etc), and the new posts are on the right, but the subforums (ie, 24v swap forum, M20 forum, etc.) are spread out along the bottom, and IMO it looks sort of cluttered. I don't know if that's something that can be changed or not.Leave a comment:
