there is a solder joint in the ecu that controls the ICV and a lot of the time it goes bad. If you know what you're looking for you can open the cover on your ecu and re solder it. Or get a new ECU and see if that workssigpicComment

DON'T FORGET THE TPS!! These motors are actually pretty good properly maintained and sorted. I feel a much better power delivery from my m20b25 than my m54b25 in my e46, but maybe it's just me.

Check and make sure you TPS is plugged in and it works right as well. I had a customer come in with this problem recently on a 89 325is.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.
