Looking at a WB E30.... input?

Hey guys, just joined the forum, I am currently looking at picking up a wide body E30 325e. It's history is not very clear, but I did go and look at it and its pretty rust free on the under side.(supposedly it was a Texas car) Does have some paint damage... I haven't seen this style ram air on any other E30. Headliner is falling down but the interior is pretty clean considering the age front valiance is cracked in three places. Comes with a spare rebuilt stroker engine.

I am just looking for a Summer beater

    Anyone see any red flags?
    Any input?

Intake looks like a KAmotors setup a few versions ago, looks like fiberglass m3 fenders without the e30 m3 trunk setup and maybe a BMP front bumper? Maybe I'm wrong, could be DTM fiberwerkz stuff too.

looks like someone had a gift certificate to dtm fiberwerkz or something, imo not ideal e30.

IMO - good beater for the summer if $$ is right. I wouldn't put to much jingle in the exterior repairs as someone else has already cut it up.

Go with it if it runs good.

This is dependent on price. How much?

I think you should find a stock e30 and make it how you like OP. All those flares are adding is weight and its already suffering from a lower HP, low redline "e" engine. Just my

Also, it looks like that picture of the engine bay is either old or a picture of a different car. If you look closely the window strip is different in the two shots.

If you mean the windshield, it is the same. It's just harder to see the brown locking strip from farther away. As has been said, if you're looking for a beater OP then get as much info about the mechanicals and recent work as possible and if there isn't much left to do, then go for it.

I would offer $1500 as the maximum. That wide body kit is hard to fit properly and not look like shite without extensive body work. And the price he is probably asking for it is probably astronomical. IMO, there are much better platforms.

I like how there aren't any rear end shots, obviously because the half assed kit fits like shit.

That is what I was talking about, but it looks to me like there's a late model black window strip in the picture of the whole car.

If it had go fast / track mods I'd say that's an OK price. However... it doesn't. $3500 max if it runs good.
