It's been awhile, but I saw this in a Wal-Mart parking lot in Midland, Ontario.

Not so fast and furious... and what is with this the whole black fenders and hood thing? Is this a cheap attempt to try to make it look like carbon fiber???

A lot of these Japanese cars are exported to the states with 'duller' aesthetics. People import entire front sections of the japanese cars and install them as one piece on to the american models. Then to be extra JDM, you just have to be poor enough to not afford a simple maaco paint job.

One of our old neighbors drove The Blue Flame Special. Sorry no pic of the front but it had a home-made pointy V grille made out of mesh.

I think I'm leaning towards crappy for the first pic.. It's either awesome or horridly wide eyed and whacky looking.

I think it's supposed to look like the entire front end is replaced cause the person drives wicked fast at track day and crashes sometimes.

Or its a different color because they can go so fast that the crappy maaco blue paint job strips off the front end.
