    Part # for the 2 8mm Bolts/

    Cant find these bolts on realoem. am looking for a part # for the 2 8MM bolts that holds the rear side windows for the early model e30s with the pop out rear windows. if anyone could help please let me knwo asap.

      i think is # 11. it says its a M5 but its an 8MM bolt

        M5 = 8mm head. M6 = 10mm head. M8 = 12mm or 13mm head.

          What PeaveyBassist said about bolt sizing is correct- they measure the diameter of the bolt, not the head size.

          If it is #11, then it's just a normal 5mm nylock lock nut.

            Not always. 36 31 2 345 496 is an M8 bolt with a 10mm head.

            There are no hard and fast rules with BMW fasteners... Except that whatever you're looking for isn't in stock at the dealership.

              #9 I can't help, #11 I just go to Napa and hit the bulk bins and the "select-o-thread" which lets you spin on a nut or screw in a bolt, and it will tell you the right size.
