Yea, pages of my bently are loose. You can tell which procedures I've done by which pages have smudge marks all over them.

i spilt a bunch of ATF over about 100 pages in the back of my Grand Cherokee factory service manual. its about 800 pages or some crap. so now they smell like sweet brand new ATF+4.

I was told that for about $30, Kinko's will actually cut the binding off, put all the pages in plastic sleeves, and sprial bind the book. I'm considering doing it, because I don't want it getting all trashed when I use it, getting it all smudged up and having pages falling out.

i half considered buying a new one and doing this when you mentioned this.

then i realized that it's a car repair book. you look at it...when you're repairing cars. so aside from smudging it so bad that you can't read something (which isn't the case - aside from some stray marks, you get the corners and edges dirty, which don't keep you from reading it) - there's no real reason to keep it clean. Makes you look like you read it for fun (I have) instead of actually use it.

mine is beat to hell - hard to tell it's a book, let alone it's a bentley :) But, it gets the job done, and it isn't missing any pages :)

Ive got a Haynes, but the Bentley is better. Haynes just tells you the basic steps.

Ive got the repair manual cd for the M5. Its nice because you can just print what you need and after you get it all greasy, just throw it away.
