that doesnt really apply to much other then the front of bagged trucks, mainly because on most trucks the shock goes thru the original spring so when you replace it with an airbag there isnt very many places to put a shock without losing a significant amount of turning radius, and not that you'll believe me but in MOST instinces if you run a stiff enough airbag like a Slam specialty bag, you cant even notice theres no shock... ive driven customers trucks on highways testing whatever i did out and have never had an issue, you have to take into account that most people that drive bagged trucks drive them low which translates to a softer "spring rate" so its nothing like driving on stock springs with no shocks

but like i said that only really applies to trucks, 90% of stuff anymore is a strut setup with a bag over shock so its not that common in any other kinda cars

Or that it needs new wheel bearings, bushings, etc.

This excessive modification at the expense of making sure your vehicle is maintained is exactly why other countries, like Germany, have an TUV system where your car has to be inspected every 1-2 years to make sure its safe to drive on the countries highway system.

I dont care if you like blue wheels, sticker bombed fenders, or whatever, just dont do it at the expense of your vehicles maintenance, or next thing you know your $3k wheel will fall off and youll spin out into someones new M3 and be fucked for life cause you didnt replace your wheel bearings/suspension/whatever.

The problem isnt taste, its common sense.

Edit: This whole "if you dont like my car your just a "h8tr" thing also needs to stop, just cause I dont want -20 offset wheels with 185-55-15 tires on a frame laying car doesnt mean im a purist and a hater...
And that's just an assumption that usually (not always) owners of low cars neglect maintenance?

Lowering to some degree is a performance improvement. If you want to slam your car and stretch your tires, I don't mind. I'll even look at it. I'll respect the work that was involved. In the end though, it's a fashion statement (like wearing your flat brim hat backwards or your pants at the bottom of your ass). When you seek attention, you'll get it, don't cry if it's not all positive.

Between friends differences in taste or opinion are irritating in direct proportion to their triviality.

When you say those words, does it mean you took it to a shop to put everything you wanted and could afford on it?

Or does it mean that you busted your knuckles, researched nights on in and learned how do it right, did it and, now have a bad as car that brings you efame?

Get over it and drive your cars.

I'm okay with cars on bags though, since you can at least raise it up when you need to drive it.

You cannot drive the roads I regularly drive on with an inch of ground clearance. Maybe the roads are better in your part of NJ, but where I am (outside Philly) you cannot drive with an inch of clearance. I guarantee you'll bottom out.

you already said youve never driven a low car, ive had bagged and very low vehicles since i was 17, im 31 now.. trust me when i say i GUARANTEE i can probably handle shitty roads a LOT better then you with your almost stock height car

my e30 has been bagged for almost a year and i regularly drive VERY low and theres hardly even scrapes on my skidplate, adjustable dampning does wonders for very low cars, ive been building one off suspensions from scratch for 11 years im not just some jerkoff who buys ebay springs and puts them on cars

Plus IMO when you lower a car that's built for performance so low that it can't even perform what's the point of having the car then? Idk that's just me and by no means am I a egotistical cock lol.
idk about you but i wouldnt exactly consider a car that came stock with 170hp "built for performance" sure with aftermarket parts it can be, but that can be said for any car..
