    Built some wheel cribs

Sup guys, I recently built some wheel cribs and I highly recommend them over jack stands. There is so much room underneath the car now its great.

I used 11 2x4x8 untreated wood that you can get from home depot for about 2.50 each and used 2 boxes of deck screws three inches long. Super sturdy and durable.

Total cost was about 35.00 bucks.

That's too high IMO. Up like that you can't reach anything lying down, but there isn't enough room to squat/stand, so...

also watch for deflection in the crib when letting the car down. As the suspension compresses the wheels will want to push the cribs outward. With a light vehicle you may not notice it as much but with a heavy vehicle with lots of suspension travel it coiuld be quite dangerous.

Do you have any bigger pictures? I can barely see what you built.

Well it doesnt have to be that high, you can make whatever size you want.

I saw this somewhere else once... I'm thinking I might build some. I'm way too paranoid when it comes to jackstands and jacks and stuff.

Looks a little janky but +1 on the creativity.

Looks sketch IMO. Might be fine to hold an 02' but i wouldn't trust it for something a bit heavier.

Steel > wood for holding up cars.
