This is kinda ht or miss for me and most others. I'm in the CCA so I get roundels. Its nice but I mainly look at pictures or interesting articles and products and then I'm down after 10 mins. Print is indeed dying. It would depend on price per issue/subscription and size of the print for me.
I'm curious if anyone is interested in a e30 magazine...

My thoughts were to start with a basic quarterly newsletter. Each issue could feature a couple of cars and members can submit their own tech articles. Board sponsors can submit articles on new products. My vision is a newsletter run by r3v members for r3v members. I agree, printed media maybe dying but how many of us have wanted to see their cars featured in a magazine. I would even be interested in a digital newsletter. Of course at this point in time, this is all hypothetical but i would comend any one who wanted t make this work.sigpic

Outside of e30s, I also have a history with aircooled VW's, and I would say that a lot of my above points apply to that community as well. Most of the magazines that catered to that crowd went under. However, one remains. Ultra VW's, which has expectational photography, printed on high quality glossy paper, and typically went deeper than a car owners name followed by their mod list. Also, I would spend some time appreciating how sites like speedhunters.com covers cars, and consider how you could apply that in a bmw magazine.
For example, bring people content outside their limited experience. Maybe consider covering e28's e21's, 2002's, z3's, x3's, etc.
I have an e30 calendar hanging in my office, and done right, I would buy a vintage bmw mag.Last edited by Andy.B; 08-10-2014, 06:12 AM.Comment

^^ +1 on the content. I'd enjoy a solid classic euro section. Anything from hood rat vws to flawless resto's. Just old and European with a large focus on e30s/users
We should start with my car as the cover hahaha

I actually think Stanley's review of the e30 isnt all that bad. He speaks intelligently and it has helped with the mental image Ive had of Stanley since the roadly days. That of a bisexual combo meal. He may actually be all black and totally gayComment
