    Where are you employed?

Another thread has inspired me to start this one. Just curious how you all fund your E30s.

I work 4-5 hours each Saturday at a BMW dealership washing the customer cars. I get to port them over to the detail shop  and then usually put them through an automatic washer. 8)

My second job is answering phones/setting showings at a real estate office. It's easy and a pretty simple job. :)

Together they are the favorite jobs I've had. Three years ago, I worked at Schlotzsky's Deli and quit after about 2-3 months. And two years ago, I worked for 6 months at a Express Carwash which was a big pain. Other than that, I've been focusin on school.

    What about you guys?

I work part time detailing cars. Its not bad at all. I've gotten damn good at buffing, a lot better than I was at least and it pays very well...I also get to wash my car every night, and it gets wax 3-4 times a week :) . So its not too bad

        I don't fit the categories.
Used to work, made a bit of money, paid for it and past and future mods cash, still don't work almost 3 years now.

To save up for my car I worked in my Dad's shop for 3 summers. 7am-5pm. Summer of 8th grade, 9th, and 10th. Then to pay insurance and gas, I bussed tables at a few different places. Right now I'm working a non-paid internship :? After that, I'll probably start waiting tables somewhere...

Shamefully I have to say that my parents fund me for MOST of my car......

I am trying to get jobs, but under a student visa, it's not easy, because you have no SSN, and to explain the whole story to someone is a bitch...... that is..... when they even want to interview you for it....

Don't try to look cool by using big words. You're basically making chemo agents better by not having them poison the body. or something like that......
Good background for your major

I work 13 hours total a week, but some shifts are 4-6! Kick ass, it is so easy just to work 2 hours. I can only hope to work full time this summer.....mo bling for my ride, I finall got it paid for and hopefully have the $$ right now to pay for the repair.

Circuit City. Before that I worked at Sears on commision and made some good money. Right now, I'm selling camera and computers at an hourly wage. In college I plan on co-oping or interning during the summer.

heh, i am purifying the carbonyl reductase protein, which is responsible for the breakdown of these chemo agents in the heart by converting them to alcohols, which are poisons, and running kinetics studies to determine exactly what is happening, so later on the heart-safe chemo agents can be used.

Kris. 8) Cool stuff. If only I took more Biology so I understood more!

Matt, I'm told Purdue has a good co-oping program. I may be doing it, but I dunno.......
Also, BMW has an internship program....DIBS
Or, I could beg to be a salesman at my dealership (or the one in West Layafette during the school year), or work in parts. -----> Would be awesome job.

                            Hot thread. :D
