You think getting a warehouse with a bunch of tools and cars in it as well as a bunch of different keys handed out isn't relevant to having insurance?

In short I think it's a bad idea. Not saying it shouldn't be done but I wouldn't leave anything valuable around.

440sq ft? That's a warehouse?! That's 22'x20'. That's barely a storage unit. And, IIRC, an E30 is 15'x8.5'. Not to mention equipment and parts takes up a LOT of space.

Shit... My garage is 900, and there's NO way 4 teams each with cars would fit in there. I barely fit 3 cars in it with all of my tools and equipment and parts and dead hookers.

so with all the bullshit i get from my apartment manager about working on my car, ive finally decided to get a warehouse but i cant do it without help! im looking for 5-8 people or more (the more the better), to rent a warehouse in the bay area preferably within the peninsula.

we have done this before with 3 race teams in 1 warehouse and each team had to pay 400 a month and there is more than 1 person to a team so it ended up being really cheap and it was really fun.

i found a few places on CL and they're actually not too bad on the price. for example a warehouse in san carlos with 440sf is 898$ a month which if we had a couple race teams, and 4 people per team, itll come out to only 100-120 per person. CHEAP! everyone can have a key and 24 hour access and everyone can pitch in for equipment like air compressor, press, lift, bench grinder, etc. unless people have there own equipment and are willing to let everyone share.

Hopefully we can get something going and everyone will have to make sure to get along or it wont work. if anyone wants to partake and is serious then write your name down on the list below:

So in fact, you did indeed mention keeping a "few" race teams, with 4 people per team in a 440 SF area. Even if you're eluding to only 2 teams that's 8 people. Although most people though think of "few" as more than 2. There is a huge gap in your proposed costs and benefits to the actual costs and benefits.
