    Importing a car from canada

I know this has been covered before but i cant find the thread(maybe it was just a post)

I know this might be an uphill battle but i want to bring it to CA, so how hard is that and what steps must be taken?

The other obvious option is importing to a more friendly state then keeping it registered at a "friends"?

    whats up?

if its over 25 years old its as easy as signing the $75 import fee, letting the guy walk around and make sure its not packed full of cocaine bags and illegal plants, and then driving it home.

If under 25 years but US spec imported to canada, get vin off car, mail BMW asking for spec sheet and what it needs to be US spec, bring spec sheet to boarder crossing, they bring car to import place, they update it to spec, done.

If under 25 years and euro spec, basically sign papers and its brought to import place and they cut holes for sidemarkers, different cluster, special plate holders, etc, bunch of stupid shit that some US cars dont even have. Then you get it back after like $3k out of your pocket.

Really easy as stated on old stuff. I imported a 69 02 recently and it was a 10 minute deal at the border. I filled out some paperwork online and sent it along with Brandon. He handed it to customs and drove it back for me
