I have a zinoberrot 325is which i want to get painted in about a month or so. The car has no rust, no dents and no type of damage that will bring the bill up by much. I am sticking with the same color. If i prep it for paint myself about how much am i looking to spend for a decent paint job with clear coat?

Can a Mod please move this thread into the body & paint section?

this question has been asked many, many times... i'd say 1k or so.... maybe more... have you tried to just get it cut and buffed professionally to see how bad it is?

For the best job I know its expensive let them prep, plus some shop[s dont like to paint stuff they didnt get to prep.

The car has been painted before and who ever did it messed it all up. The car is two different shades of red. On one side i guess they didnt put to much paint because you can see the primer with clear over it so it doesnt look right.

I was planning on taking it to maaco all prepped and masked off but i will ask them that if they would paint it if i prep it and for how much. I got a price tag for 1600 today but they said the car will be sitting in the garage for about a month because they have alot of customers which i say is b.s, they had 3 cars in the garage.

^i would suggest checking with more than one maaco... some do better work then others

Yeah. Im going to visit a few shops in the morning and get some prices. Thanks for the help.
