    "New" Advanced Auto policy (heads-up)

    I went into the store this week to return a core from an online Advanced Auto order and was warned by the salesperson that starting in the next couple of weeks thei computer system will no longer store purchases over 90 days (as opposed to ~2 years now). THis means that any lifetime warranty items need to have a physical or electronic receipt kept by the customer.

    They were not sure how previous purchases would be handled but I wanted to throw out that heads-up.

    While AAP is not exactly top-tier, I find myself buying a lot of stuff there for one car or another so I thought I might spread the word. Stuff like batteries, steering pumps, some suspension parts, etc. have long warranties and might be affected.

    I usually do purchase online/pickup in-store for anything over a few bucks (using a coupon code) so this won't impact me too much but for some people it might.
