August 2008. Got this car for free from my dads coworker. Total rust bucket that I eventually gave back because it was too far gone. M10 still ran well.

This is my first e30. I had an e36 for a month but that didn't pan out. I test drove a lowered on original CA blue plates '79 320/4 a few years back but ended up with a 4 door Saab 9000 instead. I don't get how people can buy the same car over and over. Either stick with what you have or get something else? I would get bored fixing the same problems again and again

At her peak, daily drove it no matter what. I love this pic, surrounded by SUVs

and then just before I sold it in 2011 after I bought my current E30

Wow, second pic looks really similar to my 1st e30.

My e30. First drove it. Fell in love. Keeping it no matter what! For sure more oldies goldies to be added to stables :)

No shit. I hit a crater with low profiles and it never did that much damage.

318is -> M50TU and all the supporting mods. 320i flywheel, light port and polish, Billy's and sways, 949 6ul's, electric door locks, etc.

Getting a modified subframe and braided brake lines in this pic.

From the first day I went to look at her, bought it in March 2013 from a small dealer, 87 zinno 325 base.

    First day on the road.

Not bad for a New England car.

But low funds, far daily commute, and unreliable car prevented me from keeping it. Ended up having to trade for a 99 Altima.

My current car was my first e30, but my love affair with 3 series came via e21s. Had two for 10 years prior to my current car which I've had for 6 years. Given that most of my e21 driving was pre-internet, I don't have many pics. The only one I have left is an engine bay shot:

1978 323i, which I rebuilt the engine and upgraded to L-Jetronic injection (the K-Jet was horrible - the L-Jet was a revelation by comparison, the Motronic on my M30 is a walk in the park). It eventually died through rust & an accident.

Yes it was, but I'll rebuild with a flawless Cirrusblau shell with 137.000 km's behind it.
