What the hell does having 2 doors have to do with anything? Over 92% of cars sold are automagics. Most people dont like to shift. A sad reality.

because for most people a car is a phonebooth/fastfood restaurant/recording studio/bus... imagine trying to shift while on yoru phone, eating a big mac, changing cds, watching a dvd, doing your makeup, and yelling at 3 kids in the back seat...

i want those people to pay as much attention as they can to the road... forget shifting

I don't know what the number of doors have to do with it. Trust me, I wish my car was a manual, but it's not. I might look into a swap in the not too distant future.

Most people are not car enthusiasts (sp), a car for most is a just a way to get from point A to point B, an auto gearbox makes it that much easier.

I must say though, I don't mind my slushbox when I get stuck in freeway gridlock.

im just saying that an automatic is good for a four door! two door cars are ment as sport cars, you know fast and sport...i have a two door auto right now and it sucks.

Just because its a 2 door doesnt mean its a sports car. My uncles truck has two doors. If your 2 door automatic beemer sucks so much, sell it and buy a manual or do a swap. Noone made you buy an automatic.

I think some insurence companies used to see if it was a coupe or sedan, they would group any coupe as a "sports car" and you would pay more. However, I doubt they still do.

If I lived in a big city will all stop go, I would probably drive an auto too. Lucky for me my city is big enough to be fun, but traffic isnt a total PITA all the time.

California just passed a new law. Starting in 2007 all two door cars will be automatics. Sucks to be you man.

P.S. Check sig. 4 doors arent bitches. Everytime someone in the back gets out of the car, I can maintain my lazy ass on the seat and possibly even fuck with them as they are getting into/out of my car. :D
