Is relocation an option?;) Happy to be sheltered in my little corner of the world. I have lived in areas where that was a problem and have to agree with TimeMachine. I've seen LoJack recoveries within an hour of being reported, doesn't give the bastards much time to strip it.

Relocation is not an option at this time unfortunately but my daily is a not particularly desirable car, a 99 Saturn 5spd. My vert on the other hand...I better not catch anyone trying to steal it.

I just have an old AT&T HTC Inspire wired with a hardline charger stashed in the dash so it's constantly charging, and have Where's my droid installed on it. I think it's $5 a month added on my plan (Grandfathered in from days past).

Text message the hotword the number, and BING! It texts back GPS coordinates within a few feet. No data, no minutes. And I made it easy. I text E30 to the number that's saved in my phone as E30. I really don't need to worry about it up here, but I really don't feel like taking it out of the dash... Text it every once in a while just to make sure it's kosher.

        Better than LoJack IMO.

          $5 a month? dang.

Excellent idea. I use this for work.

They're expensive but it's pretty much pin point and it's real time tracking on a map.
          real profesh stuff.
