Believe it or not I'm the one in charge of the cash flow right now but of course we consult each other before buying any big purchases right now since the money belongs to both of us.

Seriously though.. it's a trade off.. she wants a new elliptical workout machine and I want to buy another BMW. Since we're saving up for a wedding neither of us is allowed to but either until we reach our savings goal.

It's just hypocritical for me to tell her she cannot buy a $300 workout machine because we can't afford it and then go out and buy a car.. that will more than likely cost more $$ in minor repairs. I don't believe in borrowing money so everything is a balancing act for both of us when it comes to saving for big purchases of things we want.
