    Dunno how this slipped by me, my mechanics, and their sec.

    but it did. I rolled down to the shop today to get my records for selling the car, and lo an behold, i did find something interesting.

    I DID have $900 worth of work done after I bought my car oh so long ago. I DIDN'T have the timing belt replaced. For some reason it was burned in my mind that it had been done.

    Last replacement: Sep 98/147k
    Current: Feb 04/210k

    So, I'm a good year and a half and 10k miles beyond.

    Needless to say, the car didn't leave the shop. I called a friend of mine for a ride. TB gets replaced friday.

    Looks like whoever buys my car won't have to worry about this for a LONG time.

    Damn, that person got really lucky. Who would that person be, anyway?? 8) ;)

          He's THIS close to getting it...

          I think it's just a matter of time before he gets to Missouri to drive it all the way back up to Idaho. ;)
