    Price evaluation

Tell me what it is worth.

Hey, I have been thinking about selling my 1987 BMW 325es with 77k miles with a recent respray by previous owner due to fading. I just did the wheel bearings, timing belt, tensioner, sparkplugs, plug wires, cap, rotor, valve cover gasket, valve adjustment, radiator hoses, fuel filter, fuel lines, all shifter components and bushings, shift boot and knob, trans mounts and motor mounts (I haven't installed the motor mounts yet), fresh oil change and coolant flush, cam gaskets, fixed the idle. The interior is complete and taken care of I would give 8/10 just from the age. The dash has the standard cracks it being a Florida car. A/C blows cold. I did more but don't remember ever part of the top of my head.

There are less than ten miles on all of these parts. I buy cars fix what they need then resell them to buy another projects as fun. I just recently finished this project.

What price should I try to get for it?

i don't know the florida market but here in houston, that car might sell in a couple months for 4 to 4.5k assuming its a manual trans. if you really want to get money out of it, take it to the west coast and sell it there.

if i owned it and was trying to sell in this region, i would ask in the high threes and negotiate a couple hundred downward. i think at that price, i would be gone in a month or less.

here is a local car as an example: http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/4737260664.html

seller says its clean but it really isn't. i don't think it will sell at this price. he has some nice upgrades but they wont mean shit to anyone that isn't an r3v enthusiast. it has an advantage over your car in that it is the late body style with plastic bumpers which is a little more desirable. hopefully you don't have the rust this one does.

Judging by the condition I wouldn't doubt if you got 4k, however if you watch the prices on eBay, they are going for a lot more. I would check ebay before you sell locally because you never know.

Don't forget to replace shocks if your trying to cover everything. Those are guaranteed shot. Car looks like a real survivor OP.
