    press out front cam shaft seal?

    how do i get the front cam shaft seal out? the bentley says something about a service press?

    part # 5, i know how to get part # 8 out.

    If you take out part #4 it should come out with it, then you can push it out from the back.

      From what I can remember HST is right. You have to wiggle part #4 out. There are actualy 2 seals you will need to replace. Part #5, which is the cam shaft seal and part #8 which is the O-ring that seals the Cam Shaft seal housing.

        should i just use a socket that can fit in there technique? i'm sure i'll figure something out today. yeah i have removed # 4.

          bsh 7509 is the correct bosch part number for the e30's then at napa.

            A socket or a VERY CAREFUL flat head screw driver, you don't want to dig into #4
