timing belt

hi all! newbie here. this is my first post, about my 83 320i. (yes, it's an E30)

has anybody ever had to replace the timing belt due to oil leak in the valve cover gasket? my gasket leaked sometime ago and the leak was near where the timing belt is. and i'm thinking oil contamination on the timing belt. the timing belt has only about 20T km on it.

I never have, but it definitly wouldn't hurt if you had the time.

The belt's life might be shortened slightly, but it will most likely last at least the intended service life.
