    Two years of E30 Goodness

Today I officially cross the two year mark of owning an E30. And I'd never look back. It has been a great ride and experience. Probably the best car ownership experience of my life, so far.

    Some milestones so far:
    Almost 120K km since November 12, 2012
one timing belt and water pump (almost time for #2)
    Two front bearings
    Rear subframe refresh.
    Minimal overall problems.

So glad I decided to get this car. Makes me happy every day I drive it. :D

Pleased that you still enjoy your car. But it's more than a little weird to remember unnecessarily specific dates/anniversaries unless of course you are Rain Man and we all know he can't drive.

Did he ever actually drive in the movie? I have a hard time recalling the dates I got my 2 cars, but then again some times I don't pay attention.

Wait...you've done 75,000 miles in two years? I thought I was pushing it with half that! WOW!

              37,000 miles a year is a lot.

              That's 100 miles a day.

              About 2 hours a day.

              720 hours a year.

That's one entire month a year sitting in your E30.

Congrats, you spend 1/12 of your life in your car.

Roughly 1/8th of your waking hours.

              Ouch.

Life is too short to drive a boring car.
Drive it hard. Maintain it well.

Yup, she's my DD, and I do love the time we spend together. I know the Eta isn't the sexiest E30 out there, but she sure is a fun car and especially for the winter driving, I feel owning her has made me a better driver overall.

I'm trying to get a better job... if that happens, thinking a possible engine swap to freshen her up a bit. Or even see what shape the old Eta is in. May just rebuild/recondition. Time will tell.

6 month mark here and already put almost 10k on it. I do at least 75 miles a day driving to San Diego and back, 2-3 hours stuck in traffic. I also keep a log of my car's history with dates/mileage, I might not remember it but I can reference it.
