    Getting a hold of Hartge??????

Not sure if this is where on the forum to ask, but does anyone know the process for contacting Hartge in Germany to see if a particular car was one of their builds?
I have looked up information and sent some e-mails, but have not heard anything back so far. I think a letter with the documents I have might be better and of course including the vin. would be needed.
    Any help would be great!
    thanks,
    jm

Hartge does not keep track of the early Hartge cars. Alpina does keep track of each car they built over the years.
    Good luck jm!

Well, that would explain why they have not returned any e-mails. I did here that people that worked at Performance Plus might have some information, but I have not been able to contact them....don't think they are in business anymore. I am suppose to get all these documents this next week that give some of the history of the car I bought. Once I get everything together and determine if this is a real h26, then I will post a project thread on this forum.
      thanks again,
      jm

Oh, it was that $2k Hartge? W/o the bumpers? If so, glad it was purchased.

                thanks

Yeh, it is tucked away in the shop right now. Going to put together a thread for it later in Nov......when the hartge wheels get here:). I have the bumpers; the front I can fix; already have the parts...the rear not so sure. Might have to buy the middle section, it is really beat up. I am suppose to hear from the seller today about the paperwork. If I can get all the paperwork which is in German, I might be able to trace this car. It has tons of potential, but it is rough right now. Almost 100% sure it has the h26 engine, so that is a plus.

                  hartge h26

Well, so much for sending paperwork to Hartge:). I did find out that my h26 is a Kohl conversion car. Had a large number of hartge parts on it when new, but of course they got sold off over the years. Now just putting it all back together.

So since the thread title is relevant, I'm bumping this.

I emailed Hartge to ask about purchasing a set of centercaps for my 16" Type As. Waited a couple weeks, no word. Went to my local BMW dealer to get something else and decided to see if they had any way of getting in touch with them. Guy at the parts desk had never heard of them.

Does anyone know how to contact Hartge to ask about this? Or could get in touch and let me know? I'd heard it was around 105 Euro for a set, for reference.

                              ACS is the same way.

Try contacting them through Kohls? Or any of their participating shops?
