Probably about 5 days out of the week. Usually an hour or two at night. Weekend mornings for a couple hours. I really don't watch tv or play videogames like a normal 19 year old so I have a lot of time to put toward my builds.
I basically did a complete tear down of a 318is, all the way to the shell and put it all back together in a little under 9 months.
You can really get shit done if you have the drive and money
to do so
How often are you working on your e30?

FTFY
I have 2 and one is "driving". This weekend it blew part of its muffler off....add it to that list. The other is in pieces. I do my best to work on either at least once a week.Leave a comment:

Just bought it, so every week I add on one more mod/maintenance item to make sure it runs strong. It's my new DD... and it is so much funLeave a comment:

i worked on mine daily for about 7 months to get it to a point where i could register it. then once it was rolling i hardly touched it. even though there's a laundry list of things i still wanna do (a lot of which don't even cost any money really).
my car started off as a BIG project and i only got so much done so i'm fortunate all that happened was a blown clutch slave over the 4 months that i was beating on it before winter. it's a pretty tough car.Leave a comment:

For fun or because I need to? I haven't done anything to the car I had to do in months and months, probably my oil change in January.Leave a comment:

It's love hate relationship. I've came close to zeroing out my checking a couple times (fortunately my savings isn't easily accessible)Leave a comment:

Probably work on mine once a month or so, but it's more tinkering / mods than necessary maintenance. It's therapeutic :)
If I'd left it stock, over the last 6 years all I would have done is serviced it once a year, and done the fuel pump when it died two years ago. Can't say I've found mine to be a money pit. I did buy a neat two owner car to begin with though.Leave a comment:
