Hey guys, so a while ago i had to replace a pipe that leads the antifreeze to the heater core since it was leaking antifreeze into the pedal area of the drivers side. After i did that, i was left with a lot of antifreeze but dried it up and neglected it since i always thought antifreeze had the chemicals that would stop rusting. Recently i had a completely loose clutch pedal and when we took out the slave cylinder (i think that's whats it called) from above the pedal area it leaked oil everywhere. I think its brake fluid. Anyways, now i have a mix of antifreeze, oil, and water from the rainy season all stained on my carpet. For one i learned that rust is the biggest problem in e30's and im worried i will rotten out the metal under the carpet. Am i safe because of the antifreeze? so far i only dried up and vacuumed the carpet.
