    Going rate for S52?

What are good running S52s going for these days? I've got a lead on a '97 M3, 4 door, auto with 165k on it. Seems to run well and it's rust free with a clean interior, but it was damaged in the rear and poorly repaired. Thought about buying it as a winter beater (it has new winter tires) and then parting it out. Guy wants to get rid of it for $2000 but I walked away b/c it needs a little work to make it reliable/useable for the winter - leaky power steering lines, CCV needs replacing, and driver's door handle broken. I still have time to change my mind...

Farbin is trying to sell his s52 for $2400 with pretty much everything you'd need for a swap. so I'd day a m3 in that condition would be more than worth the $2000 asking price.

^Yep, you could, in theory, without pictures double your money, not counting your labor for parting it out.
