I think I read somewhere that the real story is the kid got away and drove home and car was his dad's car or something like that. They never caught him.

Obviously the announcer was completely ignorant of the actual facts. They just plain make stuff up on that show.

But the story I heard was...

That was his dad's car. The kid didn't run out of gas or break down, that was just a slowed down clip of an earlier shot. He got away and went home, where they arrested him later that day (license plate). But he never went to jail due to his status as a minor.

Whatever happened, the video is cool.

anywho those shows are always bullshit, i love how they edit in the screeching tires sound clips whenever any of the cars on the show make a sudden change of lane or any aggresive behavior...

oh yea and it was something like "this supercharged car rockets pass them at an astonishing 0-60 in 5.7 seconds..."

uh first off i think it be a little quicker then that and they arent supercharged stock........

i also love how the "15yr old" kid outdrives them all, especially that guy in the vette..

I don't think he actually meant supercharged in the literal sense, a lot of people that don't know cars just say that when referring to fast cars.
