    Tie-rod prices...??

Ok so on BMA's website they show the lemfoerder tie rods w/ ball joints for $63. when you click on it, it says you need 2 per car.

    http://www.bmaparts.com/item.wws?mfr...11125186%2Ejpg

the Meyle ones are $32 and it says you only need 1 per car.

    is this correct?

so i will pay $126 for lemfoerder tie rods w/ ball joints vs $32 for Meyle tie rods w/ ball joints?

If you're not aware that you need one for each side of the car, then you should probably let the mechanic source them for you.

i know that i need two of them. but why is it showing on the BMA site that i need to order TWO of the "left/right tie rods w/ ball joints" since they call for 2 per car.

the meyle tie rod says it only calls for one item per car.

one item being, both left and right tie rods w/ ball joints.

I guess they really are $63 each then. so in that case, are the meyle's really only $32 for a pair???

I imagine it is a glitch in their software. Fap99 uses the same program and the same thing happens - 53 each for Lemforder, 25 for Meyle. I really doubt 25 is for two tie rods.

How about this novel idea - call BMA and ask them?

It is not $32 for a pair. That is the price for EACH.

                Just buy the Lemforders.

how come nobody types it out as lemfoerder? if you had to replace control arms or tie rods, which ones usually go bad first? anyway to check if the tie-rods are still good?

for BMA, when you call in your order, i think you actually get lower prices.
