OBC 13 Button

Hey Guys,

I have purchased the wiring harness, proper code plug, OBC Light bar, and turn stalk. However I have not purchased the OBC unit itself. The part number I think I need is 65 81 1 386 867. That is a 700 dollar part. What can one can be used with out buying new. My car is a 1990 BMW 325i

I got mine from the junkyard. From the info I've gathered the most common problem with a used one is a bad light bar. They make LED replacements for them though. I still need the black box for it. I've been told its not necessary unless you want to be able to use it to disable your car with an input code.

Ok thank you for that info. I wasn't sure on that if any 13 button Unit would work. I know the code plug is important.
