Are you sure they didn't just swap out their old tires for your new ones?About 8 years ago we took a car to a shop in Nashville for an engine swap. The car arrived with fresh Falken Azenis RT215'S on basketweaves.
I noticed on my next visit that the same wheel/tire combo were on another e30 there. Must have been an employee or shop car. Anyway, I assumed they just bought the sames tires that I had but when I picked up the car they included the original basketweaves and now bald/corded falkens. Obviously someone helped themselves to my tires and absolutely used them up hardcore.
They have since closed up shop and I've since heard some shady things about them. Water under the bridge but also a lesson in how not to run a business.BMW tech

They returned my old basket weaves with the same Falkens only they were now bald and flat spotted down to the cords. I've rarely seen tires used up so hard. They had a small amount of miles when they first got there. It was very clear that they helped themselves to my tires.
They also took over a year to finish so they had time to do this.Euro S50 Daily Driver: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=279195Comment
