Engine Swap

I am looking to put an e36 M3 engine into my e30, I have found some guides and parts list, but they have not been very helpful. If anyone knows of a complete guide or some sort of detailed instructions or has done the swap, any help would be greatly appreciated.

It'll go a long ways if you do a little more research before asking such a broad question. there is thread upon thread of information on just about every swap ever done to an e30 on this site. Do the leg work just like everyone else and research.

Well first off bro, youre doing it all wrong. Only queermosexuals do s52, s50 or any other 24v swap. If you aren't a lesbian, you should do an m30, 5.0 or lsx swap.


But for real tho. Theres a lot of write-ups on how to do a 24v swap, you can even use your stock getrag 240 trans. personally, Im a firm believer in the M30 swap because of its period correctness, driveability, and budget friendliness. Oh yeah. and welcome to r3vlimited. :up:
