No police report, I believe it's pretty cut and dry with the video evidence, let's see.

Yeah they clipped the 4 runner then went swerving into my lane

Don't take this the wrong way but there were multiple warning signs well before the accident. You need to drive more defensively. I daily a motorcycle, if you start getting the spidy tingly feeling it's best to act on it.

Agreed that civic driver drives like an idiot. Hopefully this accident teaches him to slow down, and that he does not know how to drive as good as he thinks he does. Idiot.

Always get a police report. It helps with insurance even though you have the dash cam. They would have sited the civic driver for reckless driving.

Are you serious? Watch the video. There was erratic driving from the start. Put distance.

Both the OP and the Civic were going faster than the flow of traffic. In an area with side streets. Warning flag.

0:16 - Civic waits to make a lane change late, both cars go for the right lane, Civic moves erratically then goes for the overtake anyway. In the right lane. In an area with a lot of avenues for cars to suddenly enter the right lane. Big warning flag.

0:26 - Civic decides not to slow and go for a late lane change (LIKE LAST TIME), causing the accident.

Have you and are you able to identify the driver? That is where a police report would be clutch.

You could tell before the crash something was wrong with that car. Whenever I see someone driving any kind of weird, I try to stay away or get around them extra carefully.

Its a fucking shame that idiot had to hit your car, I'm sorry.

sucks that e30 wont be virgin anymore (if it ever was ) but that's a super easy fix from the looks. looks similar to the one I had. took me like $200 to do and 2 hours. and kept my car clean titled and a few thousand on hand.

It is easy to be smartass after the fact but I also agree. From the dashcam it looks like there was enough time to brake and avoid the idiot in the Civic. You can see Civic changing line quickly, I would of braked there heavily.

I do agree with that, guy in the Civic would got failure to avoid collision citation in Arizona and with that his insurance has to pay you. Too bad insurance would only pay maximum value for your car on their books, so mint E30 is $1600. We have it easy in Arizona it is a police state so there are cops on every corner ready to serve citizens. In California there aren't too many cops to respond to every fender bender
