Differential busting idiot/thief in Las Vegas

To whoever is "stealing" the clutches out of LS diffs in Las Vegas junkyards, you are a f'ing idiot!

You can buy new clutch disc for $40-60, you spend at least an hour to an hour and a half dropping the diff, then tearing it apart to steal 2 disc that are probably not any good. You ruin a complete useable part (core). I have seen your work in 2 different yards and when I get a picture of you, I will make sure you pay. And hey, if you are decent enough to at least pay for the parts you are still an idiot for not buying them new.

You are about as bad as the guys that bust a cyl head with a hammer to slide off one rocker arm...which I am sure they put in their pocket so they feel good about saving money...

Adding to this the parts are scattered all over the place and I have to pay full price for the diff even though parts are missing...

      Thanks....

If I lived near you I would break the clutches and leave them on the ground JUST for you ;D

Al, if you find them just write your name and number on their RR valence. 100% assures that their car will be punted in to the wall at VIR! ;)

Don't go crazy over junkyard stupidity. My personal favorite was a front loader operator saw that we were clearly headed over to a fairly decent 318is and she promptly stuck a fork through the LF fender which pretty much ruined the top end of the engine and the other right through the front door.

Did a search for the etiquette thread but could not find it...was wondering what the proper etiquette for dropping a deuce was, I generally look for a dodge minivan...

Yea, I spend about every day I am not on track at junkyards and have seen plenty of stupid stuff, it blows my mind how much time people will waste just to steal something....the rocker arms are about the worst, have seen that twice. I think rockers are like $15?

The only reason I can imagine someone would rob clutches from 2 diffs is they read on the internet about stuffing an extra disc in for better "performance"

As far as my name being a target at VIR, well yea I guess I have the wrecked race cars to prove it.
