    Little help...

    First off, please excuse my noobness, I’m a VW guy new to the bimmer game…
    I have a 325e which I plan on doing a swap with in the near future. Now from what I’ve been told the e36 m3 motor is a pretty common swap. Now after doing a little research on swaps and whatnot, I’ve learned that the m50 and s50 are very common swaps. Now what models can I find this motors in, and what is the engine code for the e36 m3 motor? Is that the s50? I’m just a little confused. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

        m50 = '92-'95 325i (OBD1) 189hp
        s50 = '95 m3 (OBD1) 220hp
        m52 = '96-'99 328i (OBD2) 189hp?
        s52 = '96-'99 m3 (OBD2) 220hp?

              Depending on where you get your information, the 2.8 can get credit for 189, 190, 192 or 193hp. Doesn't really matter.
