I failed as a man. Here is my public apology regarding my e30.

I put leaves in the my Toyota pickup's airbox. Depending on what type of leaves, Ive seen anywhere from a 25-200hp gain. make sure the leaves are soggy before you put them in, it helps lubricate the upper cylinders.Leave a comment:

I check the easy maintenance items on the first visit as a prospective buyer. It gives a clear indication of how the car has been maintained and cared for.
Then the official pre-purchase inspection if I am serious about the car. The best $100 you will spend on a potential new used car is the PPI.Leave a comment:

I'll take a used timing belt please, those damn kits are expensive. Not worth the cost new.Leave a comment:

That's a good idea. I think I still have a couple laying around. When I replace parts unnecessarily I do try to give away the still good bits like wipers, air filters and tires to other E30 owners who need them. As there is always the person who is just starting out and maybe can't swing quick replacements under their budgets (most of us have been there).Leave a comment:

I end up replacing mine at least once a year. Probably not necessary but I end up doing it anyways

Yes that's them spaced 5mm in the front and 25mm in the rear.
Well the sad truth is it doesn't drive any better but I'm sure the valves appreciate not being beat by incoming particles.
Today the car comes off the road for a MAJOR overhaul and as of 10 mins ago I sold a complete Audi a4 engine I had for sale which just released funds to the 325.
The motor is pretty tired as is and I have a habit of swapping motors (my three rabbits have different turbo motors) so if the m20 had popped...it would have just pushed me into swapping in a different motor.
Truth be told though...I'm very pleased with the m20. I love how smooth it is. Best car I had close to this one was my bone stock 1991 GTI 16V. Great car too!Leave a comment:

Looks like you can buy them new at Tire Rack, which is nice.Leave a comment:

Wow...now I am wondering how much better the car will run with that nest and half of air filter out of it.Leave a comment:
