    No name China made icv

I bought a cheap ICV and unsurprisingly been having issues with it. From cold at startup idle is surging a little up to 1k rpm, and when underway can drop to 500rpm and threaten to stall when at a stop. It rotates a little which I'm assuming is for tuning. The Bosch part I replaced didn't appear to rotate, so I had never touched it.

Anyone else had issues with these? Considering putting the Bosch part back in and deal with cleaning it frequently while I save for a new one.

Never go cheap on a part like that, just buy genuine.

Just give the Bosch one a thorough cleaning and give it a try. Sometimes just a cleaning can make a big difference

If you clean the Bosch part properly and it doesn't help, repeated cleaning won't change that.

if you can't afford to buy a new name brand one, i suggest perusing the junk yards to find one that looks pretty clean. shoot a bunch of carb cleaner down the holes and hope for the best when you install it.

Can you lend any credence to the thought that carb cleaner strips some sort of internal coating? I've always used brake clean just in case.
