My good deed for the day - Someone buy this Euro 323i Baur

I frequent the Copart site, and noticed this little gem. Says it runs and drives, and was a donated vehicle. Vincheck is clear. I was going to keep it a secret, but I was outbid and dont want to spend alot on a car sight unseen Plus I do not want to have it shipped from Savannah to my home in CT. I am now sharing this with you :) If you are serious about buying it I will bid on your behalf ONLY if you paypal the full amount of your bid to me. I WILL refund your money if you do not win the auction. I want to see this car go to an enthusiast.

How hard was it to become a bidding member?

You need to provide some sort of business license related to auto, marine, RV, salvage, auto parts etc. That will let you bid on clean title cars, and salvage in a few lax states. That's what I did. Dealers or dismantler license gets you anything salvage or clean.

There are a few serious Baur guys that belong to the CT Chapter of CCA. They have their own site

Something to keep in mind before you bid on a car from copart. Watch the FEES. I am in no way saying dont try to save this car, I would do it if I could. Just make sure that you realize that there will be a minimum of like $500 in fees, and the higher the bids the higher the fees. I went to bid on a salvage e36 once for the running gear in AR and after my $200 bid, it was going to cost me something like $750. Although here you don't need to have any sort of licence to bid.

Not the cop art I was looking for.

In other news, I'm 5 minutes away from the Martinez, CA Copart auction yard and a short drive to Vallejo. If regular old me can get in and anyone needs a closer look at cars, let me know. You should probably call ahead and ask if the public can at least look, but I have some flashy business cards that are like totally legit if they need that too.

Edit: checked their website and it looks like public can come check it out. If you see anything, let me know and call ahead just in case.

Oh my glob, you should not have showed me this site. It's FULL of broken dreams that my wallet can't afford to dump money into. There's a clean donated 325 with a ski pass within spitting distance. Another with a short shifter and someone even painted the gauge needles red. A couple "runs and drives" 850's and so many wrecked cars. I wanna cry. Ugh.

Remember guys, the proceeds go to charity.

                      Bid high, big often.

There's some cool shit if you look long enough. Saw a lotus, and some real wacky kit car "Porsche".

For GA bidding you don't need a license, they do however set a limit on how much you can bid on any car for license-less users.
