Aight guys... I need a little help. I bought konis from someone here and they were brand new. I damaged one installing it and Im gonna get koni to replace it. Im gonna go ahead and ask that you dont question me or flame for damaging a shock while installing it. Just please help me. So I talked to the fella at shox.com and he told me to go through Koni and that they would probably be more than happy to send me out a new shock but I have to have proof of purchase. The fella at shox.com said he would send me out the receipt so what information am I gonna need to give them to get a proof of purchase so I can deal with koni derictly. Thanks guys.

When I bought my SAs through BMA, KONI forgot to included one of the struts in the box. Called Patrick, he totally took care of everything, but basically KONI called him a liar and charged him an arm and a leg to ship it directly to me. The way Patrick described it to me they were not the easiest to deal with. I don't think this is gonna be a walk in the park.sigpic

You screwed up installing it and you expect them to give you a new one?
That is kind of like stealing, eh?
Sorry, but that is the risk you run when you DIY.
A few months ago I broke a new part I was installing - did I try to return it? Hell no - it was on me. I bought another and got it right the next time.Current Cars2014 M235i2009 R56 Cooper S1998 M31997 M3

This is sort of branching out for you, isn't it? Wrongly extorting parts from companies instead of looting someone's garage, ya know.

Sorry, but I don't get it. By posting this you are just asking to be ridiculed and have your integrity called into question.
Go ahead and do what you think you need to do, but what's the point of broadcasting it to everyone?

Like how to respray your car, change your wheels, and change your s/n so you could cover up who you are...
I always thought some of your shit was shady. Are TJ's mirrors hot? Wasn't the grounding kit scam you too?

Formula, don't let these guys get to you. I'm going to agree that if it's something you fucked up while installing it, it's likely that you're not going to get them to replace it.
are we really having r3v say okay to fraud?

You didn't exactly make it clear what advice you wanted- so you're sure to get plenty. :)
Seriously if you're asking how to get shox.com to send you proof of purchase so you can give this proof to Koni- I think you might have to use some smoke and mirrors. Shox.com should have some record of the sale to the original purchaser, which they would likely provide upon request to the original purchaser. Since you bought them from (I'm assuming) a private individual who was the original purchaser, your name will not be on the original proof of purchase. The way I see it, you are screwed unless you can get the original purchaser to do the "warranty" return for you- or unless you can successfully impersonate the original purchaser. Both of which are shady propositions at best.
But, why are you asking a bunch of people who have nothing to do with this?? Why not just call shox.com and ask them how something like this would work, and if you have a chance to make it work, and if they would be willing to do anything to help?????
Bret.
EDIT:
This thread is HOTTTTT!
