      Yeah, you've gotten to be careful around this time. The snow starts to melt then freezes into large chunks of ice.

        I smacked a chunk of ice in the middle of the road the other day and knocked off my already cracked diving board bumper plastic lip thing. Tough luck losing a big piece from yours, almost made it through winter.

                      Luckily, the broken piece came out in one chunk. I was getting the car painted in a few weeks anyways, so he will be able to repair it, thank goodness. Still breaks my heart though!

                          I lost my brand new is lip 2 days after I installed it
                          Quickest $300 I have ever spent

                          I still go on drives looking for it

                            Yep, I even drive my 2002 in winter, and it doesn't rust to nothing just thinking about salt!

                            But egad, the loss in value, it's all we care about!!! How will we survive? Sell your E30s now, before the horrible salt throwing, ferrous material eating monster that is next winter arrives!

                            Zip ties in addition to the stock clips are what you need, just leave enough slack so that when the lip gets knocked off you won't run it over and it won't drag too much. Also, $300!, I hope that was for paint too.
