La Jolla Independent went above and beyond the call of duty for me today and I thought it was worth some recognition.
My roomate was dropping his car off to get his timing belt done and I was tailing him in my e30. After we left, we had to make a quick stop to check out an Exige. When we were getting back in the car I noticed a healthy puddle of coolant below the drivers side that appeared to be coming from the drain plug on the radiator.
Anyways, since we were only 3 blocks away from La Jolla Independent, I limped it over. I filled out a service invoice(figuring a tow would be more expensive even if they had to replace my radiator) and mentioned that my buddy and I were both stranded.
The guys at LJI basically dropped everything they were doing, immediately spent 15 minutes pressure testing my coolant system, replaced my drain plug for me, and topped me off with probably about 10 bucks worth of BMW coolant.
The best part? They said NO CHARGE and sent me on my way. These guys are top notch and know their stuff. Highly recommended to any of you San Diego guys...
