Is this '91 318iS is a good buy?

    (Sorry, no pics)

If I found one, I decided that I would want a 318iS if it was in good enough shape. Well, I found one today.

White '91 318iS. No iS lip, but the regular small lip. Fog light blanks, shadowline, perfect body, perfect interior. Tiny chip in passenger side of windshield, nothing major. All fluids good, no leaks, but the engine was aparently MARINATED in cosmoline. Power windows, crank sunroof. 154k miles, runs perfect and sounds better, $4500.00.

One strange thing I noticed was that there is no check panel. Did the 318iS not have one?

no check panel on the 318is.

$4500 is a little bit pricey, I got my with 66k for $300 more...

Good to know about the check panel. I thought the price seemed about right, maybe a little high.

Thank you for the reply, Rob.

2nd rarest E30 my ass. These things are popping up all over the place.

Good luck, sounds like a good buy if you can haggle a bit on the price! And what color is it?

Ahh missed that in the description. I dunno, it seems like there are many many more M42 E30's around now than before. And good luck again.

Sounds like a nice car but I agree somwhere in the 3k range sounds a bit more like it unless it has some nice mods.

Well, weve been pretty far and inbetween since the days of e3s. Now it seems like in the last month or two dozens have popped up. Maybe theyre all just being purchased by enthusiasts. Who knows either way its sorta cool but theyre becoming way to common.
