im going to be doing a 5 speed conversion sometime in the future and was woundering what the best rear diff would be? i have a 4.10 right now..could i use that one or get a different one?

Quite a few people swap out their 3.73 for a 4.10 actually.
I'd say do the swap, leave the diff in there, and see how you like it. -

there should be a metal tab on the rear cover of you diff that says 410 and it should have an s on it. Also if you have an auto IS there is a very good chance it is an lsd. I have a 4.10 that I swapped from my 3.73 and I love the tourque it gives, but at 80 mph I run @ 3600 rpms, that's a bit high so I don't really speed anymore.Yours truly,
