    Mintex Brake Pads...

Well, I just sourced what is thought to be the last set of old-school Mintex Pads in existance. These are the asbestos pads that were discontinued over 10 years ago...
I just ordered new rotors and a set of Reb-Box mintex pads, so hopefully I will have a pretty good combo.
I had a set of Green Box Mintex pads on my last M3, and they went to Dave when he bought my suspension for his M-Tech Cabby and I always wanted another set, but they were impossible to find...

    anyone expierenced these pads before?
they are incredible... I will try and do some braking tests to see how much these are improved.

I had Mintex Red-Box pads, and they were squeaky as fuck. Pretty low dust though, and good stopping power. They probably just squeaked because I didn't put anything on them first.

I've got red box and love em. No squeak. Have used them on a few different cars. Don't know anything about green box.

I have the current style Mintex Race pads on my car right now; just used them at Willowsprings a few weeks back. They squeak like hell but are very effective. I usually run Mintex Street pads tho, they don't squeak.

I have what must be the "new" red box pads. They stop well, don't squeak, but dust like a MOFO. As soon as my car is back from the shop they are gone.
