Street race vs...an F1 driver?

I've never once 'street raced' against someone. I enjoy the car and get on it whenever it's safe and I'm 110% that I'm not going to get caught (otherwise there's nearly no purpose in owning a fast car). As for lining up against someone...give me the perfect situation and I'll do it. Other than that, no thanks.

haha, that was an awesome car cruise. probably my favorite car gtg ever.
side by side with lambos ferraris, m5's, m3's, and 2 shitbox e30's :) cruising at 120+ to the cape, cant beat that.

same story happened in raleigh.. about 4 e36m3s some porsches, couple e34/e39s all flying down i385 (i think that's it) going 100+ was a true thrill.. 15 cars taking over the hwy like that. Of course there where 3 shitbox e30s tagging along as well..

all i have to say is that with 2 ferraris, a lambo, a lotus, a viper, 2 brang new vettes, about 6 amg's and about 5 m cars... the 2 e30s were constantly up front and were the first 2 to the first meet up point...

one ferrari owner told me after the cruise that he couldnt keep up with me on the twistys on the back roads of the cape...

i think that dan and i rep'ed the shitbox e30s quite well on that cruise

Twenty-something white male in a yuppie town with no real crime leads to a lot of bored cops with nothing better to do than harass cars. I get tailed and watched enough when I drive the e30 on the street as is, it's not worth the hassle to "play" on the streets. I try and do 2 track weekends a month anyway, so there's no real urge. A lowered, loud car with a roll bar, race seats, harnesses and all the other garbage makes it kind of a PITA to talk your way out of tickets. My DD is a 318ti, what am I going to race with that, KIAs?

I guess if you're like most of the local "scene" here, you don't have money to get into anything expensive like track, and nothing better to do with your life, so it goes to bling wheels, and turbo kits to talk shit and street race from a roll. small cock contests ftw!

On the plus side, i guess it gives them something to do on the evenings when they get off of work at Kinkos.

id like to think it was my very aftermarket suspension and porsche brakes more than his poor driving... but he was also almost 3 times my age and was driving a car worth 5 times more than mine so he may not been as willing to push it as hard as I was

nevertheless as long as we werent going in a straight line he started to drift away
