Now let me get something straight, on righthand drive cars, the shift pattern is the same as the lefthand drive cars?

        I dont know...do they? :D

I was just thinking that it was awkword to have to reach across for first gear. Yet, they (righthand drivers) probably think the same of our US spec cars. 8)

                Sweet Info

i dont think the M20B25 changed compressions ratios in any form of the engine, but someone can feel free to prove me wrong.

Yes RHD cars have the same gear pattern. Everything is the same 9pedal placement, etc. except for the whole RHD thing :P

I know german specs have higher CR, I will find the info, I'm almost sure, other proove is, that the euros 325i are a lot faster than US, said it, cuz we have both models in my country...and the german will smoke the US by far...it's ajusta nother engine...believe me..

Yeah, I've been driving right hand drive cars for years and I still think it feels retarded having to push the gear stick away from you to get into first.

And the left hand indicator stalk on my car pisses me off too cos I can't shift and indicate at the same time.

edit: Great post btw, but what happened to pages 1-6 and 9-12?

                              No, no it really isn't.

The m20b27 motor (eta) recieved some higher comp pistons than it's US counterpart, but the only difference between the US & European spec m20b25's was the lack of a cat on certain Euro models. They were rated at 171 hp vs 168.
