I wouldn't say his car would be any less fun at a track than a stock M3. I've been driven in his car, it grips like a racecar, stops on a dime and accelerates very quickly. Stock M3 has nothing on it (except those sexy fenders).

i would like to see the explanation about the "stock" m3 being more fun on the track. What is the reasoning behind that? Less bhp, worse braking, sloppyier chassis, regular gearbox, what about the thinner tires? I guess if you wanna slide the back end out a stock m3 would be more fun. Oh and if you wanna look cool and nostalgic.

          Fucking christ guys.

I was poking fun at A/C for the sole reason of poking fun at it.

So you like A/C - so be it! i don't care! I never said I hated A/C - I just don't see the point or want it in my car.

I've lived in MN, I've been to Southern California, I've been to Indiana - I know what these places feel like on hot summer days - I know I'd survive without A/C, and I've decided to remove it, rather than mess with rechraging it or anything.

Sure, if I'm in some other car, I may use the A/C - yea, it's awesom, yes it's comfrotable - but I love my car because it's a god damn blast to drive. I love driving my car THAT much more with the windows open and sweating my ass off - cause I LOVE IT!

Chill guys...chiiilllllll. I don't see how we need to start arguing on whether or not I should have A/C in my car - I was poking fun at it for a laugh, and you all took me seriously.

          It's alllllll goooodddd......

I never said a stock M3 would be more fun.

However, I have driven a few well put together 325s (not Jordan's obviously) on a couple of events and didn't enjoy myself as much as I do when I'm in my M3. Granted, that could have been for many reasons, but for the outlay of Jordan's car I'd rather be looking at buying an M3 and going from there. I posted my opinion, not fact. Like I said, if he gets what he is asking then good for him. The buyer will be getting a fantastic E30. I don't want to give the impression that I'm knocking his car. Also, one could look at an E36 M3 and have a platform upon which to build. Personally, I feel Jordan's car is nearing the limit of what is possible with the E30- what is left except for an engine swap?

I'm also not sure what you mean by "sloppyier chassis." I didn't think Jordan seam welded his car or had a multipoint cage installed...

I hope this thread stays on topic, because it would be a good benchmark of what a top spec E30 could fetch in the market. Also, I hope I haven't given any flame bait, I'm really interested to see what his car gets- I hope my reasons for not wanting to spend that much are debunked!

Ok, good! lol I thought everyone was getting bent outta shape.

                Good news.

But...on the topic. Had I had money to burn, 16.5k is, I think, a fair deal for Jordan's car. It sure is spotless.

I was referring to the bushings trailing arms, but you're right it's your opinion. I think 16,5 is ok, I wouldn't really pay it for someone else's style, but it is nice. I would rathe have an e30 m3 as well, I already have an IS, not as nice, or as fast, but it's mine and I did it my way.

Well, for that price I would buy Mtriple's old car, but oh well, Jordan's is nice, and you can't deny it.

As for AC, I live in Hawaii and sweat my balls off all day. AC is a godsend, and if you don't have it, I probably wouldn't ride in your car.

second... if you get "freon headaches" thats your problem right there... your ac is leaking and you should fix it and maybe you would like it better...

Actually Chris, that's an old wives tale in many situations. As a matter of fact, the exact opposite was proven on Mythbusters and they used a Ford Explorer which is far worse off for aerodynamics than the e30 is. Now you may scoff at "Mythbusters," but they sure account for all the variables.

They had two Ford Explorers (pretty sure it was explorers) going around an oval test track, both at the same speed (45 or 50 mph), and both with exactly the same amount of fuel and the same exact weight. The car with the AC on ran out of gas way before the car with the windows wide open.

As for Jordan's car, you guys need to get over it. If I were Jordan, I'd be sitting back in my chair laughing my ass off that he has had such a profound affect on people's apparently boring lives that they're reduced to gossiping about him on a car forum.

Wow - I started this thread - so I guess it's ok for me to comment on it...

                          EDIT(too much drama)

I feel bad for who ever got the car - it will never belong to them - some poor smuchk will show up at a car show with it and everyone will go "oh...that's Jordans car"....

Hence why I'd never buy anothers man's baby - it will never be yours...

                          ....

                          15k? that a 9k e30 m3 that you can sink 6k into...that's a LOT - and it will be YOUR BABY....

                          ...my 2 euros....

                          ....

Hate to break it to you bud, but I have a feeling that the majority of e30 owners dont spend their time pawning away here on r3v, so I dont think everywhere he goes people are going to say its Jordans car. Also, Im willing to bet that if you bought a 9k m3 and put 6 g's into it it wouldnt match Jordans car in build quality.

hey good to see you around... i did not see the mythbusters show but thats a very interesting result...i just looked at my own gasmilage for a tank that i "usually" had the windows open vs. i think i had the ac on... not very scientific... but it was good enough to convince me... guess i was wrong... ill have too look into this
