Personally I prefer the guts of the Bosch better than the Hella, but outside of that the two are the same. The Bosch does have a built in vent into the bucket so that's nice since it's lost on the Hellas during one of my retrofits.Comment

Ah okay thanks! Any idea of a guide to use for install? There's a bit of rewiring correct?▲ 1991 318is ▲ | Feedback ThreadComment

They are adjustable for either. See the slots on the back of the bucket? Loosen and turn and they swap.
The only difference is which direction the cutoff kicks up. LHD kicks up to the right, away from oncoming traffic.Comment

If they could be adjusted to be equal they wouldn't be different part numbers for LHD/RHD reflectors.Your resource to do-it-yourself and interesting bmw and e30 stuff: www.rtsauto.com

I prefer HELLA actually, as majority of BOSCH sets had the hydraulic adjuster deal on the side.

Interesting, but I'd still like to see if there's a noticeable difference in beam pattern/output. I can post photos of my RHD ones if it helps. :)http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...4&postcount=26

The hydraulic adjuster pops right out and a standard adjuster is a direct fit. More durable metal reflectors are well worth the two minutes' effort in my opinion.Interested in vintage cars? Ever thought about racing one? Info, photos, videos, and more can be found at www.michaelsvintageracing.com!

They both still have a craptastic cut-off either way. :S
The Bosch are metal and the Hellas are plastic. One stands up to 20 years of use and the other melts.Comment
