I know there are more then a few Mech Engineering students on here - and a few dozen makers.

Here is a great video series of from a guy that spent the last 40 years making things out of metal, plastic, and everything else. First video or two is slow, but some amazing tips if your into learning from a shop master.

(it's not for everyone - again, it's more aimed at ME students and people that like to build things)
