    Should I sell my e30?

Hey everyone. My name is kyle and I've been active on thus forum for 5 years but decided to make a new account. Anyways in little bit of a situation. I own a 1991 318i. I got it about 6 years ago. I've put so much work into it from installing condor rear busing kit with 4.10 LSD to taking out the motor and refreshing everything.

My problem is that I regret not buying a stock 2002 instead of my e30. I didn't know much about cars at the time so I thought a car that old would be a bad idea. I was wrong. I own a 1973 02 but it currently has a supercharged m42 in it and will require lots of work and money to get it where I want it to be.

My question is should I sell my e30 for a m10 powered 02 and fulfill my dreams or just keep working and trying to save money to fund my project.

I guess it depends what you plan on using the car for. Is it for DD? Do you own any other cars besides the e30 and e10? If you put all of that money and work into your e30, why not keep it and enjoy your labor?

I only own a e30 and e10. I DD my e30 but I'd much rather drive a 2002 everyday. Even when my 02 is done I won't be able to drive it on the streets everyday.

Keep the E30. Especially since you've got one that nice!

Keep it. It'd be way easier to sell that 02 as a project and get a clean 02 to replace it

If you really want an opinion, I will give you mine. If you decide otherwise tell and I will delete this.

First I have both cars. Not the same and you should keep both.

Second, take that damn M42 out of the 02. You are going to spend money and its not stock. Why?

You want stock, stick with that frame (rust?) and spend money wisely and slowly and deliberately. From the looks of it you have a roundie. Hard to find.

An 02 can be a DD but the E30 is better.

Thanks for your opinion! I'm sure lots of people have sold their e30s for worse reasons. My 02 has lost of rust and a hole in the floorboards. It needs lots if money and lots of work but I've always wanted it to be a race car.

                              There's a reason an e30 is called god's chariot.

My advice: pull the m42, sell that and the supercharger and drop an m10 back in, then work on the rust issues and get the 2002 road worthy. You can do all this while driving your reliable and gorgeous e30
